Caroline Hayes

Sucession Planner


Caroline has had more than 20 years’ experience of working and engaging with farming clients. She has a proven track record of understanding their needs and objectives, of building rapport and trust and of developing and delivering tailored options and successful outcomes. Her experience includes Rural Financial Counselling, working as a Drought and Rural Support Worker, as Recovery Worker after the Sir Ivan Fires and most recently as State Coordinator of the NSW DPI Rural Resilience Program. Caroline has also been engaged as a private contractor and consultant including facilitating a very successful two-year Focus Farm program for Dairy NSW. She is also an accredited advisor for the dairy ‘Taking Stock’ Program.

Caroline is a trained mediator, facilitator, and negotiator and has completed specialised training in Family Business meeting Facilitation. Caroline has a keen interest in communication and has attained practitioner level in Neurolinguistic Programming. She has co-written and facilitated specialised personal development courses for women. Caroline grew up in England and moved to Australia in 1988. She graduated in Agricultural Marketing and Business Administration from Harper Adams in England and later attained a Masters of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from the University of New England. Caroline has a particular interest in Farm Succession Planning, having assisted many families towards successful transition. Caroline lives near Scone with her husband Iain and their daughter.
